I. The Rationale to Establish the TC

The establishment of the Technical Committee (TC) on Control and Security of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs) is crucial in addressing the growing challenges and opportunities in this interdisciplinary field. The TC aims to promote activities that not only advance the theoretical and practical aspects of control and security in CPSs but also contribute to the broader development of the ACA. Firstly, the TC will focus on fostering research, development, and innovation in control and security technologies for CPSs. This includes exploring new methodologies, algorithms, and tools that can enhance the resilience, reliability, and security of CPSs against various cyber threats and attacks. By organizing workshops, seminars, and symposia, the TC will provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to share their latest findings, discuss emerging trends, and collaborate on common challenges. Secondly, the TC will contribute to the development of the ACA by actively supporting Asian Control Conferences and other conferences/symposia that the ACA technically sponsors. This will involve organizing special sessions, contributing keynote speeches, and presenting research papers on control and security of CPSs. By participating in these events, the TC will help to raise the profile of the ACA and attract more researchers and practitioners to the field. Furthermore, the TC will collaborate with the Asian Journal of Control to publish high-quality research papers on control and security of CPSs. This will ensure that the latest advancements in this field are widely disseminated and accessible to the global research community. By contributing to the journal, the TC will help to establish the ACA as a leading organization in the field of control and automation. In addition to these activities, the TC will also contribute to the development of new standards for control and security of CPSs. This will involve working with industry partners, standardization bodies, and regulatory authorities to develop and promote best practices, guidelines, and standards that can be adopted by practitioners and researchers worldwide. By doing so, the TC will help to ensure the safe and secure operation of CPSs in various applications and domains. In summary, the establishment of the TC on Control and Security of CPSs will promote activities in its field of interest while contributing to the broader development of the ACA. By supporting conferences, collaborating with the Asian Journal of Control, and developing new standards, the TC will help to advance the field of control and security of CPSs and establish the ACA as a leading organization in this important area.

II. TC Activities in the Next Two Years

Over the next two years, the TC plans to undertake a series of activities aimed at promoting and advancing the field of Control and Security of CPSs. These activities are designed to foster collaboration, disseminate knowledge, and enhance the professional development of its members. Here's a detailed overview of the planned TC activities: 1. Organize ACA Technical Sponsored Conferences/Symposiums: ? The TC will actively seek to sponsor and organize conferences and symposia that focus on cutting-edge research and developments in Control and Security of CPSs. These events will provide a platform for researchers, industry experts, and academics to share their work, network, and collaborate. ? Efforts will be made to ensure a diverse range of topics are covered, including but not limited to control theory, computer science, robotics, artificial intelligence, and industrial automation. ? The conferences/symposia will be promoted widely to attract a global audience and encourage participation from all corners of the control and automation community, communication community, and computer community. 2. Organize Special Sections at Asian Control Conference: ? Within the framework of the Asian C
