President
The President presides over all meetings of the board and membership, assumes responsibility for the administration and activities of the Association, and has the authority to execute legal documents and order specific actions to further the Association's policies, vision, mission, and activities.

The President-Elect collaborates and supports with the President to familiar with the role, become familiar with the Association's programs and governance, and facilitate the transition of officers.

Missions
The General Secretary is responsible for maintaining effective communication and record-keeping within the Association. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing communication between the Association and its adhering bodies, affiliate organizations, regional organizations, and associated organizations.
- Keeping detailed records of the activities of the Executive Board, Steering Committee, editorial boards, and representatives.
- Ensuring that reappointments and replacements of committee members and editors are conducted in accordance with the appropriate statutory and by-law requirements.
- Monitoring the overall geographical distribution and gender representation of members involved in committees and boards to ensure broad and fair representation.
- Supporting the administration of the Association by providing accurate documentation and facilitating smooth operations of governance processes.
The GS plays a critical role in ensuring transparency, organization, and effective communication across all levels of the Association, contributing to its smooth and efficient functioning.

The Advisory Committee provides critical guidance to support leadership in decision-making. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide Advice: Offers advice based on their experience.
- Problem-Solving Support: Suggests solutions for complex issues.
The Advisory Committee's counsel is provided as needed, ensuring that leadership makes informed decisions grounded in expert advice and strategic insight.

The Education Committee is responsible for leading and overseeing the educational initiatives of the Association. Key responsibilities include:
- Directing the development, design, operation, and improvement of the Association's educational programs.
- Ensuring the quality and effectiveness of educational activities, including workshops, seminars, and other learning opportunities.
- Collaborating with other Executive Board members to align educational programs with the Association's overall vision and mission.
- Overseeing and directing the committee responsible for managing educational-related awards, such as:
- H. Kwon Education Award
- Temasek Young Educator Award
- Identifying new opportunities for educational growth and innovation within the Association.
The Education Committee plays a crucial role in shaping the educational landscape of the Association, ensuring that members have access to high-quality learning resources and opportunities that support their professional development.
Missions
The Membership Committee is responsible for managing and enhancing the membership experience within the Association. Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, organizing, and directing initiatives to add new members and retain existing members, ensuring steady growth in the Association's membership base.
- Developing and implementing strategies to engage member benefits, and foster a sense of community within the Association.
- Overseeing the evaluation and recognition of distinguished members through various awards.
- Providing recommendations for new membership programs or enhancements to existing offerings that add value to members.
The Membership Committee plays a vital role in building and maintaining a vibrant, active membership community, supporting the Association's growth and ensuring that members feel valued and engaged.
Missions
The Publication Committee is responsible for overseeing all publication activities within the Association. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing periodicals such as newsletters, and other publications
- Identifying journals associated with the Association.
- Drafting strategic and long-term plans for publications.
- Managing online and electronic publication initiatives.
- Assisting in the preparation of proposals for new periodicals, publications, and products.
Missions
The definition of the Steering Committee refers to the ACA constitution, Article 4. 1-7.
- (1) The SC is the supreme body of the ACA.
- (2) It may convene at a regular or an extraordinary meeting.
- (3) A regular meeting of the SC takes place at least once a year, on the initiative of the Executive Board (EB). The time, place and agenda of the regular meeting should be announced to all members of the SC at least one month in advance of the meeting date.
- (4) An extraordinary meeting of the SC may take place at any time decided upon by the EB. The EB is obliged to convene such a meeting upon request of at least one third of the SC membership.
- (5) The SC meeting is valid only if at least half of its membership is present.
- (6) Any SC member who is unable to attend the SC meeting may appoint a proxy, and his or her proxy is entitled to vote for the matters of the SC agenda on behalf of the member.
- (7) Resolutions that do not affect the constitution of the ACA, presented at a SC meeting, become valid when supported by the majority of the SC members present at the meeting where the resolution is voted upon. Resolutions that affect the constitution of the ACA require a two-thirds majority.

The Technical Activity Committee is responsible for managing and coordinating the technical initiatives of the Association. Key responsibilities include:

- Establishing, organizing, and overseeing Technical Committees to ensure their activities align with the Association's objectives.
- Guiding Local Chapters and the Asian Control Conference (ASCC) to maintain consistency and quality in their technical activities.
Technical Committees
The Asian Control Association (ACA) is an international organization that strives for significant impact and leadership in promoting control science and engineering in Asia and Oceania, and internationally. It is comprised of voluntary individuals who are inspired to support its activities and contribute to its mission.
We welcome interested colleagues internationally to either establish a Technical Committee of importance or join a committee of interest.
Establishing a new Technical Committee (TC) is a straightforward process. It begins with a group of experts (at least 20) in a specific field from different countries (at least 3) coming together with a shared goal. A Chair is to lead the TC's activities for a term of 4 years, with a maximum of two terms.
ACA seeks TC proposals in the following areas (not limited to):

- Intelligent Control Systems
- Learning and Control
- Edge Computing and Control
- Precision Motion Control and Micro/Nano Manipulation
- Smart Manufacturing
- Autonomous Driving

Missions
The VP for Finance plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the association. Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with other committees (such as conference organization, membership, and technical committees) to ensure financial considerations are integrated into their plans and activities.
- Lead the annual budgeting process by forecasting revenues and estimating expenditures.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and that financial practices comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Track spending against the budget and provide regular updates to the board, ensuring that the society stays within its financial limits.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and reports for the board and membership. This includes balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, providing transparency about the organization's financial status.
- Collaborate with other association members to develop new revenue streams, which could include sponsorships, membership drives, conference fees, or merchandising, ensuring the society can fund its activities and growth.
